Denture Relines

Highest Quality Relines!Over time your jaw bone will shrink and your dentures will begin to fit different, becoming loose and potentially causing discomfort. When this happens, it may be time for a denture reline. Denture relines make all the difference to your comfort. At Denture Arts, relines are a very important step. Your Denturist will take an impression of the tissues in your mouth and then add a new acrylic base to your dentures. Denture Arts takes pride in our relines. Relines are recommended every one and a half to three years to keep your dentures fitting comfortably and correctly. If you are part of our Immediate Denture Package, the final reline is included! Our denture relines are done on site, typically at the first appointment of the day and then returned to you by the end of the day.

Don’t wait to reline your dentures. If there are any problems, we are happy to help fix any problems.

A few things that may indicate you need a denture reline:

  • Dentures start to feel loose

  • Food is gathering under your denture

  • Getting more sore spots than normal

  • It feels like you have air trapped under your denture

What is a denture reline?

Reline Flask
The flask used for your reline! Serious business.

Relining consists of adding new base (pink) material to the tissue side of a denture to ensure a snug fit. Your Denturist will take an intra-oral impression inside your existing denture to complete the reline. At Denture Arts our reline will not only address the fit of your denture, we can also fix the denture appearance of your “Gums” | Denture Base! Relines are required when tissue changes occur due to bone resorption (shrinkage) in your mouth which can be due to: loss of weight, loss of teeth, loss of bone/tissue, disease or illness.

How long does it take to reline a denture?

Denture Arts relines can be done in the same day. We will book you an appointment in the morning to have impressions taken within your dentures and return it at the end of the day.

How much does a reline cost?

Are you part of our Denture Arts Immediate Denture package? Your first reline is INCLUDED! If you didn’t have your denture made with us, the cost is dependent on whether we are simply relining a layer of acrylic to refit your denture, or replacing the entire base. The best way to know a specific detailed cost is to book a free, no-obligation consultation.

How long does a soft reline last?

Soft Liners are applied to the tissue fitting surface of your denture base. They behave like a shock-absorbing cushion when you are chewing. Soft liners can be applied to new or old dentures. Because of the porous nature of soft liners, they may need to be replaced more frequently.
